National County Government Month

National County Government Month

Our mission for NCGM 2020: To inspire county pride across Washington State, with the goal of getting county officials, legislators, other local leaders, and the general public to let the world know how much they love their county and all of Washington’s 39 counties! We are hoping that people will do this by engaging on all the social media channels for National County Government Month (NCGM) and by sharing other exciting county focused activities that highlight all the good work that counties are doing across the state!

Counties are the Heart of Washington

Now more than ever, we see the importance of counties: from public health to public safety, infrastructure, and waste management. Each plays a vital role in building happy, healthy, and safe communities here in Washington. Counties matter, so it’s time to celebrate all of the services they provide to the residents.

April is National County Government Month – an opportunity for your county to share your successes with your peers, raise awareness and understanding about services, and share the love for your county to your community!

Share what you love about your county by tagging @WAcounties and #IHeartWACounties on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
